About Me
Many years ago, when I started a graduate program in architecture at the University of Cincinnati, I thought that design existed in siloed spaces - interior design, architecture, graphic design, industrial design. However, during my time in graduate school I was exposed to the various applications design has across a cross-section of disciplines. For example, in 2014 I was introduced to a small non-profit, the Live Well Collaborative. The Live Well Collaborative utilizes human-centric, design thinking methodologies to tackle challenges for companies and institutions. After five years of employment with them, I have learned the true versatility of design.
During my time at the Live Well Collaborative, I used human-centered design methodologies to solve complex problems for companies like Procter & Gamble, The Boeing Company, Pfizer, and Cincinnati Children’s Hospital. I have led multidisciplinary teams of designers, engineers, business analysts, and clinical stakeholders through iterative design thinking processes for projects including spatial, product, packaging, branding, service, and UI/UX design. These human-centered methodologies have included tools like card sorting, observations, and persona building.
My experiences in solving problems through human-centered approaches with Fortune 500 companies and leading pediatric institutions have provided me with the tools to generate translational research, yielding strategic and implementable solutions.
Please contact me if you’d like to discuss how I can employ these qualitative research skill sets for your company as a design researcher or strategist to inspire your teams, uncover insights, and create impactful outcomes.
